On the train...

We had some free tickets for the train so the following wk we went to Edinburgh for the wk end. It was so far! About 7 hrs on the train with the stop in Birmingham and a bit of waiting in between trains.

Att and I went on a Scotch Whiskey Tour which was fun. Then we just walked around the city. Would've like to have seen more of Scotland, loved their accents there and think further north would be really pretty to see. I think we'll make another trip up and see Inverness as my mum and Ron keep raving about it!

The following wk after that we went to Nottingham and then Birmingham the wk after that.

We left a bit too late to go to Nottingham so we didnt get to see much there (really wanted to see Sherwood Forest and go on a Robin Hood tour)

Birmingham was great (Nic's suggestion) we went shopping :P and saw a movie. Cinema is almost the same size as the piggery (with the moo cow chairs) in Byron!

Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswolds

On our first wk end in the Uk, mumsie and Ron happened to be in the same part of the world and came and stayed with us for a few days in Oxford and of course we went away for the wk end to see some sights. We ended up going to Stonehenge, Bath, the Cotswolds, Cardiff-Wales, Southampton and Marlborough. Was a great week end and also a bit tiring being in the car alot! My fave places were the Cotswolds and Bath..very pretty!

(Its a shame you cant go closer at Stonehenge, we didnt want to pay to get in so we just tooks pics beyond the fence..I think it looks way more impressive in pics than in real life)
